This medal was inspired for the spirit of Gangwon nature, landscapes and culture, especially what can reflect in the winter season, . Also, i tried to reflect what the biggest sport event should evoke to people: union and harmony, including the winter sports. In the medal you can see the Gangwon mountains and hills covered by snow, the leaves that represent the green vegetation that generally covers its fields, the snowflake that symbolizes season of the year in which the games will take place, and the Olympics symbols. All this, made with all the professionalism that an event of such great magnitude deserves.
