This design was inspired by the motto "Grow Together, Shine Forever". The lines at the top of the medal represent the sun, its reflection falls on the wavy lines at the bottom, which represent the earth and likewise the union of us human beings. We all shine under the same sun united by this star across the distance, although this time we can unite through the Youth Olympic Games.
