It is a gold medal and as the name says is a golden winter, it has four snowdrops representing the season when the games are going to take place. At the right side we can see the year and at the top of the medal is the name of the games, almost in the middle of the medal is found the olympic's symbol. The medal has lines all over it, representing the variety of Gangwon.
